A Life of Simplicity

To live a life of simplicity, you need to know yourself.

What matters most—to you?

Having a sense of clarity of what you value allows you to focus on what is essential to you.

Those essentials become your priorities.

Knowing what your priorities are allows you to remove what is unnecessary from your life. The clutter.

The space that simplicity then creates in your life provides room. Room in the list of activities you have planned for each day, room in the physical space that surrounds you, room in your mind for new thoughts and ideas.

This newly found room helps to reduce the friction and tension in your day, and in your mind.

By reducing tension, you are left with a more calm and relaxed state of mind and body.

It is, then, easier to find the energy and motivation you need to start new projects or finish old ones. Projects that hold meaning and value for you.

Once you have made room in your life through simplicity, it becomes easier to find and cultivate a sense of purpose. It also becomes easier to be in a state of deep gratitude. These, in turn, lead to a greater appreciation for simplicity.

There is an elegance and beauty to a life of simplicity.
